Here’s what has changed in the Liberty Buildpack:
We’ve updated to the latest version of Liberty’s Bluemix Edition!
With this version of Liberty, we have the latest bugfixes in addition to new features that allow YOU to consume Bluemix services more effectively!
- With the new CouchDB feature available, the Cloudant service can now automatically configure it so that a connector object is handily available! Parsing through VCAP_SERVICES and providing the ektorp client jars is no longer necessary. Here’s how you do it!
We’ve updated to the latest IBM SDK for Java!
When your applications are repushed, they will now use IBM SDK for Java Version 7.1-1.0. This comes with a substantial performance upgrade — your application should show better throughput as well as reduced memory usage.

Here’s what has changed in the Node.js Buildpack:
We’ve packaged the latest IBM Node.js Runtime!
The Node.js buildpack now comes with IBM SDK for Node.js v1.1.0.5. This means you’ll get a fully supported IBM Node.js runtime when specifying the latest stable Node.js runtime for your application, v0.10.29.
